Kenwin, Bryher's Bauhaus villa in Vévey, Switzerland, now stands empty and alone. But its literary contents were saved and transported to the home of Perdita Schaffner in East Hampton, New York. The eight-thousand-odd volumes now stand in place in the Bryher Library, which is tucked into the woods by the sea. I sorted, arranged, and catalogued these books from 1984 through 1986, and in cataloguing I noted every book that could be identified as belonging to H.D. The result is this list.Abbott, Evelyn. The list includes books with H.D.'s bookplate, books with H.D.'s ownership signature, books inscribed to H.D., and books inscribed by H.D. to others (almost all of these are to Bryher). The entries of this list, made up from the catalogue card entries, include author, title, place, publisher, date, and evidence of H.D.'s ownership. The imprints have been shortened and regularized.
